    This MCLE will explore Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes and techniques for complex cases before the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). The panel will feature experts in the field and will offer the unique perspectives the Commission's Administrative Law Judges, ADR Neutrals, and CPUC practitioners.

    You will learn 

    Background and structure of the CPUC’s ADR program. 

    Rules and regulations to consider during the ADR process, including the Public Utilities Code and the CPUC's Rules of Practice and Procedure. 

    Strategies and techniques to incorporate in your regulatory practice. 

    Consistent with the Commission's Ex Parte Rules, we will not be discussing matters that are actively pending before the CPUC or the Courts.

    Your conference registration fee includes one ticket to Welcome Dinner on Sunday, March 16. Explore the depths of the ocean in an intimate dinner setting at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Dine with friends and colleagues in front of one million-gallon Open Sea Exhibit where powerful tuna speed by and sea turtles glide lazily behind the huge window. Later, nibble on dessert and drift the night away with the glowing jellies. 

    Chef Matthew Beaudin's creative, inspired and sustainable cooking centers on fresh, local and in-season ingredients, and suppliers who care about ocean conservation. Chef Matthew sources 90 percent of all produce, protein and dairy products within 90 miles of the Aquarium which reduces carbon emissions associated with shipping and storing food from outside the region. He is also an advocate for the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch

    Additional dinner tickets may be added for a fee during registration or guests may purchase stand-alone tickets on our website. Your dinner ticket includes admission to the World Class Monterey Bay Aquarium, with private access to the Ocean's Edge Wing, opening reception, strolling dinner, and hosted bar.
