Dear CCPUC Members and Friends,

Join the CCPUC Young Utility Lawyers Section for a virtual MCLE webinar on building decarbonization in California.  This panel discussion will explore the latest regulatory developments in California as the State works to decarbonize buildings and achieve its ambitious goal of achieving statewide carbon neutrality by 2045.  Thought leaders and other experts will cover the recent work by the California Public Utilities Commission on its BUILD and TECH initiatives, as well as potential policy solutions for California to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions from buildings in an ever-changing world.  Panelists will also discuss the role of public utilities in building decarbonization and how the COVID-19 pandemic may change the way we approach building emissions moving forward.

Speakers:

  • Moderator:  Tara Kaushik, Managing Director, Regulatory Relations, Southern California Edison Company (CCPUC Board member)
  • Jack Mulligan, Legal Counsel, California Public Utilities Commission
  • Debbie Raphael, Director of the San Francisco Department of the Environment
  • Jonathan Peress, Senior Director of Business Strategy and Energy Policy, Southern California Gas Company
