CONVENIENTLY HELD AT THE CPUC AUDITORIUM

REMINDER

The Conference of California Public Utility Counsel (CCPUC) and the Women In Public Utilities are delighted to announce our joint MCLE program:

“I’m Just Here for the Ethics Credits: Discussing the New California
Rules of Professional Conduct and the CPUC’s Rule 1.1”

As you may already know, the new California Rules of Professional Conduct for attorneys became effective on November 1, 2018.  The new Rules include significant changes that will impact all legal practitioners and the professional relationship with clients. If you were too busy during the holiday season to review the Rules and learn about these changes, there is still time to catch up (and obtain those hard-to-get ethics credits just before the State Bar February compliance deadline).

For those of you who are not in the legal profession but are bound by the Commission’s ethics rules, we will also cover Rule 1.1 in what we expect will be a lively discussion with our distinguished panelists:

  • Sarah Banola, Partner - Cooper, White & Cooper
  • Christine Hammond - Assistant General Counsel, California Public Utilities Commission
  • Moderator, Cassidy E. Chivers, Hinshaw & Culbertson
