"Preparing and Responding to an Application:  Diverse Perspectives and Strategies for a Compelling Argument"

The CCPUC YUL Section is excited to announce that we are planning a series of MCLEs geared towards newer practitioners, though all are encouraged to attend. The first part of the series will be held virtually on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 12 pm, and will address preparing and responding to an application before the California Public Utilities Commission (“CPUC”). This panel discussion will explore the considerations for drafting CPUC applications from the unique perspectives of attorneys and experts working with public utilities, intervenors, and utility consumer advocacy organizations. Panelists will also cover strategies for crafting an effective response to an application. The background of the CPUC’s review of an application will be discussed as well as important rules from the Public Utilities Code and the CPUC's Rules of Practice and Procedure to consider throughout the drafting process.
